Pilgrimage

On the 5th day of the mission, we will check out of our hotel after breakfast

for our pilgrimage to the Sacred Heart Cathedral in Chiang Mai, one of the

most beautiful and spiritually rich churches in North Thailand. Built in the

mid-20th century through the collaboration of Pastor G. Merabell and a

local monk, the Cathedral symbolizes Christian unity and hope.

Its European-inspired architecture, with a dome crowned by a cross,

stained-glass windows, and intricate carvings—especially the main wooden

door—reflect a deep reverence for the sacred.

During the pilgrimage, we will:

  • Offer thanksgiving prayers for the success of our mission.

  • Present sealed petitions to Our Blessed Mother, seeking her

intercession for healing, reconciliation, financial difficulties, and other needs.

  • Pray for the people of Phayao and our loved ones back home.
