Thank you Tony for this trip. Much needed for a change in perspective and really eye opening. My whole Vietnam experience with Gebirah can be summed up in this phrase: "Being happy does not mean life is perfect." Thanks to all who contributed in one way or another. I am more hopeful now.

This mission trip to Ho Chi Minh with Gebirah has left a deep mark on me. At Pho Cap School, where underprivileged children receive free education and meals, I saw so much hope in their laughter despite the struggles they carry. (To read more, click HERE)

One key activity we undertook was the distribution of rice to the local villagers. To offer a bag of rice here is to say: you belong to us, and we will not let you face hunger alone. The simple bag of rice remains a gentle and humble constant — a daily, edible expression of security, love, and shared endurance. (To read more, click HERE)

I return deeply grateful for this mission and for the opportunity to learn from the faith, resilience, and quiet strength of the communities we encountered. This experience has renewed my desire to remain attentive to God’s presences in daily life and to allow these encounters to shape how I love, serve, and walk with Him beyond the mission.(To read more, click HERE)

Amidst all the things the villagers lost to the countless typhoons and disasters, they were full of hope, joy and laughter. They're enjoying more than most of the corporate folks I've met in Singapore who had everything in life. Regardless of the challenges we face in life, what is really rewarding is that we made some positive differences in someone's lives. (To read more, click HERE)

Made me realise even more how much we need God ... and how blessed we are in Singapore. A meaningul and humbling experience to grow closer to God and humanity. There is never a better time than now. God is calling you. Answer Him.

This mission helped me realise I have a blessed life compared to others. The community taught me kindness. I strongly recommend others to join. Gebirah makes it easy to do the Lord's work.
— Damien Vihnod

While seeing the joy and gratitude on the faces of the people we served, their smiles made me realise that even small acts of kindness can reflect God's love. Even though we spoke different languages, I could feel God's love connecting us. This mission was a chance to step out of my comfort zone and let God work through me. It will be a beautiful journey of faith, service, and love. It's not just about helping others, but also about encountering God in the people we meet.

The timing of this mission was perfect for me and my wife and I saw it as an opportunity to do
something meaningful with our lives. For all our lives, we are preoccupied about how to take better care
of ourselves, leaving very little room for the needs of the others. The mission will give you the opportunity to directly impact the lives of our friends-in-need through close
interactions and conversations.
— John Chia

The elders and children motivated me to join this children. Giving my time, listening and seeing them enjoy. This mission continuously mould and transform me. The beneficiaries opened their heart and hospitality to me. I would recommend everyone to give this mission a try. If not now, then when?
— Raymona Abinego

Tony, thank you for including me in this mission and your leadership. Thank all of you for the warmth and friendship throughout the entire mission. Although I had gone for missions before, visiting the old folks home and the disabled home were eye openers for me and left me with a lot to ponder. May God bless you and your families.
— Agnes Lim

Thank you Tony for organising this mission trip. It's been a wonderful experience for me and I look forward to future trips and meeting everyone of you again.
— Dominic Teo
I want to thank you all for making this mission trip a successful and loving one. For a first timer, I felt very welcomed and inspired by each and everyone of your efforts and contributions. There's so much to receive while trying to give during this mission. Thank you Tony for this opportunity. And for many more to come
— Michael Raj

What motivated me to join this mission was that I never been to Vietnam and I also love to share the Gospel. Seeing the joy and resilience of the children and their families made me cherish all the more what we have and reminded me of the call to carry our crosses as followers of Christ. Come and experience what it feels like to transcend your comforts to bring Jesus to others.
— Corina Sobrielo

Grateful to have walked alongside all these people — every conversation, every shared moment.
The people of Vietnam, with their quiet strength that carries them through each day 💪🏼
The missionaries, so kind and open-hearted.
Thank you for all the laughter and for teaching me Chinese 😅
These days have taught me how much we receive when we think we are the ones giving 💙 (To read more, click HERE)

A journey of love, courage, and faith ♥️
To be part of this mission was an experience beyond words.
Sometimes the greatest help is not in what we do, but in simply being there— holding a hand, wiping a tear, a warm embrace that speaks louder than words.
I'm overwhelmed by those heartwarming, yet heartbreaking days, leaving me with feelings that cannot be captured 🙏🏼

Still sorting my feelings — going back to Fang and Huay Khet after 6 months was very special 💙
I’m so proud to see how everything has developed and incredibly grateful that the people there trust us and embrace our support.
It’s not easy to protect their remote way of life, their deeply rooted culture, and the environment of the mountain village, while still welcoming change and modernisation with open arms.

Days before this journey, I was very nervous. I kept praying for courage, wisdom, and peace — unsure of what I would see, what I would feel, and whether I would be strong enough. Just hrs before my very early morning flight, an unexpected ring woke me up and left me a quiet assurance... deep peace that calm me. Can't ask for more, I then left for the mission carrying a baggage full of faith and trust.

As I glimpsed through the pics and videos
taken on our trip,
I felt a gamut of emotions
ripple through my lips.
Together we visited shelters for the poor and disadvantaged,
Bringing them profuse gifts of snacks and candies,
as well as pre-loved items that they might use. We taught the womenfolk to sew ,
Taught the kids English online;
We cut their hair,
screened their health,
massaged their hands,
and injected fresh hope
to help turn dreams into reality.
